Patrick Gallagher

Patrick Gallagher retired after 40 years of active teaching. Mr. Gallagher works as a sales associate with Student Group Tours and an adjunct instructor and Director of Jazz Bands at West Forsyth High School.

Mr. Gallagher has taught at schools in Gordon, Whitfield, Pickens and Forsyth Counties. He currently resides in Jasper, Georgia with his wife Lea and daughter Tricia.

Mr. Gallagher has performed with the Yonah Brass, Roman Festival Brass, Northwinds Concert Band, Memphis Brass, Orchestra Atlanta, weddings and special events and at various churches throughout North Georgia.

He serves as a marching and concert adjudicator throughout Georgia. He has served Georgia Music Educators Association as a district chair, district band chair, district band audition coordinator, Large Group Performance Evaluation host and coordinator and 25 years as the GMEA High School All State Band audition coordinator.

Mr. Gallagher is a member of Bugles Across America and has completed over 300 missions performing live taps to honor Veterans.

Mr. Gallagher holds membership in Phi Beta Mu International Music Bandmasters Fraternity, National Band Association, NAfME and the International Trumpet Guild.

Mr. Gallagher received his bachelor’s degree in music education from Berry College and a master’s degree in music education from Georgia State University. He has pursued post-graduate work at Southern Oregon State University.
